Web Portal Project Scope: InfoShare will plan, install, configure, and tailor Microsoft SharePoint Server or Windows
SharePoint Services to meet the specified needs of your organization. Our process begins with a Needs Assessment to
determine the initial requirements to be implemented and to identify any enhancements you may require. Next in the
Solution Design phase, we architect the SharePoint solution to meet your specified requirements. Then we perform the
installation in your operating environment — setting up the initial sites, work groups, calendars and demonstrating to key staff
‘how’ to utilize Microsoft Office with the solution. At the end of the month, a Goals Review session takes place providing
knowledge transfer on the Portal Solution and to consider how the solution can be enhanced — including how information
and processes from existing departmental and enterprise systems can be incorporated into SharePoint — and how to extend

Enabling Portal Technologies: Microsoft’s web-based collaborative and document management products, Microsoft
Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) or Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), enables companies to quickly create an
environment where documents, email, calendars and discussions boards can be easily shared. Tightly integrated with Office
Products, MOSS and WSS allows users to check–in/check–out documents directly from Office Products, search document
repositories and have various security privileges by assigning groups of users to different document libraries. MOSS and WSS
also integrate with InfoPath, Excel Services and MS Project.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and Windows SharePoint Services can also serve as a single gateway or a portal where
users can customize their personal pages and display content from different web sites within small windows. These windows,
called Web-Parts, are assembled to create a Digital Dashboard. The portal can also have links to other business applications,
and MOSS/WSS even provides a single sign-on feature which allows the user to access the other applications without re-
entering their user name and password. MOSS/WSS can be used to share content with partners and customers and hence is
